TRADITIONAL JAPANESE HANDMADE FOR DOSING THE MATCHA POWDER
The Matcha spoon is approx. 18 cm long and is traditionally made by hand. The Matcha spoon first carved from a piece of bamboo and then bent into its spoon shape over hot steam. The bamboo spoon, also called Chashaku in Japan, is the traditional tool for the optimal dosage of matcha powder.
Thanks to its narrow shape, the bamboo spoon is ideal for removing the matcha powder from the tea tin and holds approx. 1 gram of matcha powder. Depending on your taste, 1-2 heaped bamboo spoons contain exactly the right amount of tea to prepare your matcha.
